It was prom night and Jennifer Perla was wearing her beautiful purple dress.
But she would never get a chance to show it off at the dance.

Eyelash Extension for Prom?
Back when i went to prom, eyelash extensions were not even an options. My girlfriends and i would always buy false lashes for prom, down at the local convenient store, the ones you had to apply yourself. Well the times have changed, now you can eye lash extensions. I always loved the way false lashes would make me feel, it gave me a boost of confidences and drew attention to my face. I think every prom queen out there should try them, you will definitely fall in love with them, i did.

Permanent eyelash extensions differ from false eyelashes in several ways. First, eyelash extensions are more natural looking than a strip of false eyelashes. Extensions are made from a synthetic hair, which tapers at the end like natural lashes and is applied one eyelash at a time and they add length to the lashes, much like hair extensions. Eyelash extensions are permanent, but they do need to be reapplied in a touch up, every two weeks, as your real lashes fall out naturally every 10 – 12 days.
There are several benefits to permanent eyelash extensions. They look natural and give you fuller, thicker lashes. You can choose the length and the color of the lashes you want. Mascara is not needed, and neither is expensive eye makeup remover to dissolve the mascara. Since the lashes are permanent, they last through tears, sweat, showering, sleeping, and the sun.
The application process is relatively simple and needs to be done by a qualified beautician. The beautician will clean your eyelids and lashes, ensuring they are free of oil, makeup, and dirt. She will then put a special adhesive on the bottom of an extension and adhere it to the top of your natural lash. The extension will bond to the lash in about 10 seconds. This is done one lash at a time, with tweezers, so it will be time consuming. On average, about 30 to 80 lashes are used per eye, and the procedure can take around 2 hours. Afterwards, you will need to avoid water for about 2 hours, but then the lashes are permanent and can be enjoyed through any activity, even swimming!

How to Make a Boutonniere for Prom
Girls...prom can get pretty expensive with all the basic prom essential, for example, hair/nails appointments, shoes, jewelry, your dress and don't forget about the boutonniere. When its all said and done your prom bill is going to pretty $$$, so if you can find ways to eliminate cost, do it. I found a great video on how to make a boutonniere for prom, so get some of your gals together and we'll get started. One of my favorite things about making your own flower arrangements is the fact you get add your own personally touch to it and the best part is you'll save a little bit of money too. Great creative with it, add some diamonds, pearls, glitter, greenery, or some crazy flowers to match your dress.

Girls Go to Prom Dressed as Barbie Dolls
Sammy Burns and Megan Barton had the admirable impulse to do something unique for their prom. But I can’t say I’m thrilled with the concept that Sammy’s mother devised. “When Sammy was little she loved Barbie dolls and I thought they could go in boxes as Barbie dolls,” the 44-year-old business manager said.
The whole Burns family got involved in making the boxes, which took two weeks to complete. Sammy and Megan were then wheeled to the prom by family members dressed as delivery boys. The slow, hot walk took nearly 40 minutes.
In true Barbie form, the girls put looks before comfort to brave the claustrophobic boxes: “It was really hot and a little scary at first,” Sammy said. “But we soon got used to it and we kept smiling for everyone while they took pictures of us.”
